    upgrade GPU

i have an MSI gx 700 laptop. i love the processor. It is doing everything that my friends new i7 does but i would like to upgrade the GPU. it has a NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT, i would like to replace it with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 485M. would this be possible? and if not what would be a good GPU substitute for it?

    Hello there.

No, i don't think that is possible to replace a Notebook's video card, because they come soldered into the motherboard (as far as i know) sorry to be the one who's bringing the bad news.

Uhh awesome i knew that some notebooks have the capability to upgrade the video card (i wasn't sure if yours was capable) the thing is that i don't know where to get them

Why don't you contact MSI and tell them your thoughts to see if they can help you?

    Cheers.
