Running SLi on AMD CHIPSETS in only 7 simple steps!!!!!! MUST READ!

    HI!

Today I received sadly an unsatisfying answer, but it's not the replyers fault!!

    Thank you

for the assistance you've provided me with, but this is where I have to prove you wrong.

Running SLi on AMD boards IS possible. With a Patch of course.

    Code:
    http://xdevs.com/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.30
Here are the steps to doing so:

    1. Download patch 0.9b in bottom of this guide.
    2. Put it to some directory on harddrive. For Windows Vista or Windows 7 disable UAC.
    3. Run patch
    4. If there is stirng "Patch can be applied" press Install. If there is old patch detected, Update button appear instead of Install.

    5. If everything ok, tool will report "SLI patch installed" and exit.
    6. Reboot.
    7. During boot there will be "extra OS" selection, marked "SLI enabled". This is one to use with SLI patch active.

I KNOW THIS SEEMS UNREAL BUT TRUST ME IT WORKS! I AM USING IT NOW!!

DOWNLOAD LINK FOR THE SLi PATCHER:
    Code:
    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=861CAXU1
    NOTE!!:

Patched SLI drivers for specific versions, early experimental drivers

Section A. Windows XP 32, modded videodriver ForceWare 190.62

Step 1 Download SLI String installer v.2.0 and unpack in to folder on HDD. Run slistringinstall.exe.

Step 2 Press ASUS, regardless of real motherboard vendor, to patch Windows registry with SLIC certificate

Step 3 Install modified Forceware 190.62 (link in bottom of this article) XP driver. Reboot. SLI must work now

    Section B. Windows 7 32-bit, method 1, modded Forceware 190.62 Vista/7

Repeat steps 1-2 from “section A.”. All is the same without any change here.

    Step 4. Disable UAC

Step 5. Copy modified driver file from bottom of article to c:/windows/system32/drivers.

Now, if everything done correctly, SLI must work after reboot.

    Section C. Windows 7 64-bit, method 1, modded Forceware 190.62 Vista/7
    Steps 1-2 are the same.

Step 5. Disable UAC, enter system to test mode, make modified driver file have certified for OS.

Step 6. Copy modified driver file to c:/windows/system32/drivers.

Now, if everything done correctly, SLI must work.

****RECCOMENDED OPERATING SYSTEM: XP-x32 (Since there's no drivers for other OS' provided)
1: Download SLi String Installer, The SLi Patch and the modified Forceware 190.62 Driver for XP 32 bit
2: Run SLi Sting Installer and SELECT ASUS (Doesn't matter what your board is, Select ASUS because it's the most up to date with the latest certificates)
3: Install the Forceware 190.62 Driver
    4: Install the SLi Patch
5: RUN MSCONFIG>Boot>there will be 2 OS', select the one that says SLi Patch and run it as default>Set timeout to 3 seconds so you won't wait too long.
    6: Restart your machine
7: Once in windows, Open the mVidia Control panel, you must see now the SLi and PhysX configuration. Click it and enable your SLi Settings!

*If this proves to be useful, I'd like to ask from a board moderator to please sticky this to help others, Thank You!*

You do realize that hack involves modding system files. Not the sort of thing to be just recommending unless you're prepared to re-install Windows if you don't have a good backup. You also most of the time have cannot run the latest driver until the author updates the mod, as Nvidia makes little changes in every release that tends to break the mod.

And yes I knew about the SLI mod, but didn't mention it due to the reasons above.

Essentially you want to run SLI get a motherboard that supports it, not hack things to get it to work.

I read this and thought, "Looks like somebody is trying to make a name for himself/herself."

Then I saw that the OP has only 8 posts...

Impress me/us with running SLI on AMD with the latest and greatest nVidia cards with the lastest drivers -- NO HACKS!

Then maybe you'll get your sticky ...and rep ...and riches and fame...

Go with a P55/P67/X58 motherboard and accompanying compliant hardware, problem solved.

    Dead Links

all of the links appear to be out of working order (perhaps due to Nvidia copyrights?)
anyway...does anyone have a copy of the essential files so he could re-upload or at least send them to me?
