Blue Screen of Death When Running Sims 3

- Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
- It came installed on the laptop when I purchased it
- Asus U52F-BBL9
- 4gb RAM
- Intel HD Graphics Card
- 640gb hard drive
- Intel Core i5 Processor - 2.53 GHz

I just got a new laptop the other day and I'm having some problems getting the SIms 3 to work on it. I have all of the Sims 3 games and their expansion packs. Basically, the game will play for anywhere between 1 minute and 10 minutes until it starts to flicker black. My laptop freezes up and it won't let me do anything (ctrl-alt-delete, etc.) so I have to press the power button. Sometimes (not always) it will display the blue screen of death and then my compute starts itself back up (bbcode 116--which I understand is my graphics card?).

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my graphics card (with the updated version) but it actually crashed sooner than normal when I did this. I also have all the settings for the game on low, except for sims and object detail set to medium.

I couldn't understand the directions on how to save the performance report because there was no option to save anything when I opened it--if you really need this to help me, please tell me how I can save the file.

Can anyone help me please?
