Rotate display orientation?

Greetings,

I am currently using a netbook with a GMA 3150 video chipset. It seems all rotation options are unavailable and not sure why. Is there a way to force enable them via a registry hack/different driver? Worth noting is that Windows in the resolution settings classifies my display as a "Mobile PC Display" which may be triggering it -- orientation isn't listed at all in the settings.

In terms of the video chipset itself I know it supports rotation as I've used it in Ubuntu just fine. Right now I'm just figuring out if the issue is either with Windows or Intel's software.

Do you have the latest drivers installed?

Here: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/

Find your GMA 3150 in the search bar, download the latest and install it.

Yes, I downloaded the latest drivers from Intel. It's strange though in the Intel's software hotkey setup. They have "rotate to normal" enabled but no other rotate options are shown.

Here's what i found:

You can right-click the desktop and select 'Screen resolution'. There should be an option for Orientation. It defaults to landscape, and portrait should be what you need.
If for some reason you do not have the Screen Resoltuion option, try this.

Click START and type> Change Screen Resolution > press Enter.

That's the thing, the screen orientation setting is missing entirely.

I have this same problem, i have a 34" TV as a secondary monitor and a smaller 17" as a primary, im looking to mount my primary on the wall but for cable management i want it mounted upside down. i have the same problem. i right click on desktop and there is screen resolution, but the Screen Orientation isnt there at all
