Windows 7: NVIDIA sometimes forgets settings

I have two monitors, an old CRT and a new TFT.
I've used the NVIDIA control panel to adjust the color settings so both show more or less the same colors.

Usually these settings are loaded automatically on startup. But not always. Sometimes the NVIDIA control switches back to "Other settings" instead of using the values I entered. My settings are still there, but I have to open the control panel and re-apply them to make them active.

I don't know what's the problem. It doesn't seem to be connected to any updates or things.
It's not a big problem, just a small nuisance, but still it irks me. Any ideas?
