    3 monitors

I have a different type of setup, I have a hdmi running to a HD Receiver I only use it for the sound. I have a dvi running to my HDTV and I have a vga connecting from the motherboard to a 10 inch touchscreen that operates everything. The problem is when I shutdown just the receiver my tv and touchscreen go black then after a few seconds they both come back on. Sometimes windows on the touchscreen will jump to the tv screen. Question is can I stop the screens from blanking out this I asume will stop the windows from jumping around. Thanks JD

I've noticed on my three-monitor system (no fancy HD receiver here) that shutting off one monitor would do the same thing. The stuff on the "off" monitor would get shuffled around seemingly to wherever Windows felt like stashing it.

I just tested it and it did not do this, the only difference being that I am now running DisplayFusion. (I bought the full version with multiple licenses.) You might try the free version and see if that helps. There is also a thirty day trial of the Pro version with more features.

You might also experiment with what is set as your main display in Windows and try different monitors.

Hope this helps - and sorry I didn't see this before. :)
