WIn7 Upgrade - Loss Of Resolutions Over 1280x768 - Higrade Laptop

Hello guys - Had extreme help in this forum on my first post today. So here i am with yet another question :)

Ive upgraded from Vista x86 to 7 Ultimate x86 on a Higrade m760s laptop. Using Windows Update to get the only driver i needed which was for VGA i got * SiS Mirage 3 Graphics Driver.

Now this is brilliant that i have a working driver. But the problem is. I now have 2 Resolutions in my Menu.

    1: Mobile PC Display

    2a: 1024x768 ( recommended )
    2b: 800x600

Now before the upgrade i had around 15 resolutions and they were also Widescreen.
The screen is a 15.4 Inch widescreen.

    What im asking is:

: Custom resolutions are they dangerous and how are they made - I understand its regediting the Config in /VIdeo of the registry. But surely theres a program that could force it?
: Anyone know of a better driver maybe? The Laptop is a HighGrade M760S BUT its based on a Clevo W760S. I have gotten the Driver from CLEVO for the VGA_W7 but its actually just for Vista X86 and Vista X64 , And when i click install it says it cant find the right install package.

Now this is annoying because 1024x768 just doesnt look right , it looks fat and clumpy lol. IM going to take a few screenshots and crop them up.

Try downloading the up to date drivers from here:

There appear to be no Win7 drivers specifically for your notebook.

You could try the Vista drivers:

    ftp://ftp.higrade.com/2010/Drivers/N...ista/01Vga.zip

(Contains both X86 and X64 versions.)

Vista Drivers wont load Which is a real pity. Shocking tbh. Im going to do a reinstall and check out the SiS5 to see how well that works. If its a no go im going back to vista. Which im not looking forward to,
