How do i adjust the brighness?
In Window 7 Home Premium?
In Window 7 Home Premium?
Usually through your cards control panel.
Nvidia, ATI CCC, Intel etc
Without knowing a thing about your pc it makes it difficult to be exact.
Where is the option?
There is no brightness option in the power option, does anyone know why? I am using a desktop by the way.

Hello GradeAbra,
Please fill in your full system specs so that we may be able to help you better with this.

For now, you would only have a "Adjust plan brightness" option in "Power Options" if your computer is a laptop, notebook, or runs with a battery.

Hi brink, no i am using a desktop, the only way for me to adjust brightness is through the monitor option. And the Gamma option in the "calibrate colour" option under the Display option in the control panel. No brightness control, i try to lower the Gamma all the way down but not sure if it is a good idea.
Yep, for a desktop you'll have to adjust it on the monitor itself. There should be an actual "Brightness" option on the monitor that you can adjust instead of just "Gamma".
Thanks is lowering the Gamma a good idea? What is it actually?
I would recommend to reset the monitor's display settings back to default, and only make small changes at a time to see if you like the change better or not. Some monitors will have preset mode options that you can select that will automatically adjust the monitor's settings for what's best in that mode.
The link below can give you more details about gamma.

My monitor only has the brightness and contrast option. Lowering this 2 will make my pc dimmer and better from what i can see.
