Monitor Help

I just d/led windows 7 RC and im having problems connecting to my 2nd monitor, the screen on my laptop is working just fine.

its not recongizing the monitor at all

i have a HP - Pavilion Laptop with AMD Turion™ X2 RM-75 Dual-Core Mobile Processor with NVIDIA GeForce 8200M graphics

my monitor is a Samsung t240 HD

In device manager
Monitor is showing - Generic Non-Pnp Monitor
Display is showing Standard VGA Graphics Adapter

im not experienced with this kind of stuff at all

Please help

You just need to download a friver for the samsung t240 HD. then device manager will display correctly

Looking at this Im going to ask if you loaded the latest drivers for your Nvidia card??
Then once you have loaded the Nvidia driver I would load the Samsung one like zigzag3143 said.

i didnt load anything or d/l anything can some1 tell me where i could d/l these drivers?

Brinks has a post on the nvidia drivers here it is

sorry im a noob at this, heres a brief list of the supported, i have a GeForce 8200M and its showing GeForce 8200M G, does the "G" make a difference?

Go To WINDOWS UPDATE and look there and there should be an driver update there for your monitor and then everything should work perfectly!!
