    Nice, smooth fonts on 47" HDTV

    I've recently upgraded to a 47" Vizio HDTV. When looking at the text on screen, it's
    kind of fuzzy, not at all like it was on my 32". I realize that the larger the text is the more pixels you see. But there has to be something that can be done to make the screen fonts smooth and sharp again. If anyone knows please let me know...

    Try clear tune to set up the system;

    Windows ClearType Tuner

    This is built in to Windows 7. The above is only for instructions.

    You also need to use the various visual enhancements in Windows 7 to optimise a display;

    Try these @ right-click Computer > Properties > Advanced > Performance... Chop & change to your satisfaction..

    You should download gainward ATI Experttool aswell, you would find a lot of visual settings that can be Corrected,changed & altered..

    If you want to adjust graphic card settings then use the Catalyst Control Center.

    For tweaking ATI settings,

    ATI Tray Tools

    These things should only be done if you know what you are doing. Display options should first be configured as desired in Windows.

    That is just a fan controller, and wont affect the display. If you want to adjust graphic card settings then use the Catalyst Control Center.

    I use the tool everyday of my life & fan control is only the minimum to do with it... But the catalyst is ATI's package with more advance settings.. But is the default that you probably already using looking at your POWER COLOR range VGA card. It comes standard with the HD installation disk..

    Your looking for Radeon Expert right click on toolbar after install for more info...

    Also use Furmark to get a good view on the TEMP's and other.

    Have you tried your "advanced properties" "performance" there you would find all kinds of Win7 visual settings..

    Give it a go & good luck.

    Kinda off topic, but I just got a new Vizio and to get the colors to look right I had to change settings with the HDMI cable unplugged. Crazy I know. Just letting you know that if you can't change something in the menus, try that.
