Problem conecting PC to Tv with HDMI cable

    Hi,
Recently i bought new Dell PC with windows 7 , and when i try to connect to the LG TV throw the HDMI cable it shows only the desktop picture without any icons on it, no cursor, nothing.
    Just nice picture.
I don`t have that problem when i connect my Dell laptop (with Windows XP) to the TV.
    Works just fine.
So I can only guess that the problem is with Windows 7.
    Or, maybe not?
    Please help.

Hello Zagor, and welcome to Seven Forums.

In your Screen Resolution settings, check to see if you may have the LG TV display set to "Extend" instead of "Duplicate", or set it to only display on the LG TV.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Actually it was set to Extend, and when I changed to Duplicate it fix the problem.
Thank you very much for your help.
However, now, i have the picture on my Tv, but i don`t have the audio.
    Help again , please

    That's great news. :)

You can open your Sound settings under the Playback tab, look for a item with "High Definition Audio Device" that's not grayed out, and click on the Set Default button and Apply. If you do not have sound still, then setting another item with "High Definition Audio Device" that's not grayed out as the default to see if that may be the one.
