Im curious about the backplates, and High Flow Brackets.

This may not be the best place to ask, but coming from years of AMD/ATI cards I just wanted a bit of advice please.

I have decided to switch over to the Green Team this upgrade, and have choosen a EVGA GTX 570 Super-Clocked Edition. (The reference design)

Im curious about the backplates, and High Flow Brackets.
The backplate certainly looks nice, but Im reading conflicting reports about it.

Im curious if anyone has one and aside from looking nice, does it actually help the card run any cooler?
Im reading that it does help a bit dropping temps by 1-2C and others saying it actually makes them run hotter trapping heat.

Also, the HF brackets? Worth it?

Not sure if Ill add just the backplate, or get both.

    Thanks :)

From the majority of people I've seen using backplates say they don't drop temps and any temp drop is negligible. HF bracket is probably worth getting. I've seen that drop temps by like 5C on 4xx cards, not sure about 5xx cards.

Think the backplates help people who watercool more, as it adds support to the PCB. Without it there's chances the PCB can warp and bend without the support.

I have the HF brackets on my cards cause the 480's need all the help they can get. My cards stay in the 55c-65c range most of the time when I'm just dinkin around.
