    9800 gtx+

    Greetings.

I have had repeated problems with this card in my system. I am on the 3rd RMA of it. Since the beginning, I have replaced and upgraded my PSU. I have ran memtest for 20 hours. It ran 15 passes with no errors.

The symptoms include mostly just lock up during gaming, especially League of Legends. When it doesnt completely lock up, I get booted to windows and see, "Your display driver stopped responding and has recovered." In the action center I am getting:

    Description
A problem with your video hardware caused Windows to stop working correctly.

Ive reinstalled the current drivers using GURU Driver Sweeper several times with non avail.

Please advise, before I pull my hair out!

    Thanks!

it might be more OS related ,I had a similar issue with running ATI install after several failed attempts i was at wits end go through all the WIN updates hotfixes

re-do driver sweep restart then try to instsall driver again ,after that use a benchmarking tool to see if it will artifact again or quit

ps If card still stalls i would just try it in another machine if not try a different model ,also could be a faulty pci-e lane

I have all the Win updates currently.

I have reinstalled it again. Thing is it can sometimes run for a week, and sometimes a month before it starts failing again after I make a change or redo drivers.

    How are the GPU temperatures?
What speed is the GPU fan running?

My fan speed was at 35. I set it to 50 last night. My temps usually range from 40 idle, to 60-70ish under load. I dont play any hardcore demanding games.

Fyi, I ran Furmark stability test and my card reached up to 95c, and was still going just fine.
