Windows 7: hardware accelerator

Hello i need help, i cant seem to play game on my windows 7 any time i try i get a box poping out notifing me: THIS GAME IS RUNNING IN A SOFTWARE RENDDERING MODE and then it says hardware acceleration is either disabled or your video card does not support... Pls install a new version or games wld be slow... I am using a Toshiba L300D V11 laptop, my windos index score rates my graphics and aero 3D as 1.0 i already have in it DX8 And i can play any game at all pls help

Have you gone to Toshiba to get the driver for the video card? Looks like from the error messages you are getting that it may not be installed.

Well thanks Stomy for the reply im really greatful, but i would like to point out here dat i was using windows XP before i changed to windows 7 and during the time i had xp i never experienced any warning or slow game performance. Now my graphics meter does not detect any graphics memory and i found out somthing astonishing: the original resolution for my laptop is 1280x800 but what i can see now in my computer properties is 1025 x 7sth. When i opened my display adapter i found out that the lexmark X422 has a warning sign by it, i tried updating it but it said it is up to date. Please what do you think?

Already asked and you didn't answer, but it sounds like you haven't been to Toshiba and downloaded the driver for the video. Start here,

Toshiba Support - Homepage

and locate your model and download the display driver for it. Without the driver the video card and resolution will not work properly.

That isn't the display adapter, a Lexmark X422 is a printer,

Thank you stormy my games are now fast and and my windows experience index increased from 1.0 to 3.3 for graphic and 3d gaming graphics after downloading the latest display driver thank you. Is there any thing i can do to increase it further?

Sorry, but no. With laptop integrated graphics you are limited to the graphics chip that the manufacturer has installed. Some, of course, have more capability than others. Other than upgrading the driver (when a newer version is released), there is nothing you can do. Be aware though that the WEI is only a guide, and that the score may go down as well as up when a newer driver is installed.
