    Problem

Hello. I'm having trouble running a game smoothly which requirements are like CS 1.6. I have N 6600GT. Driver version: 8.15.11.8618 Driver date:10.06.2009. Windows 7 (7264) x64 but for some reason the folder Program files is (x86), is that normal? The games fps drops very low at times and even when its high it's not working very smoothly. Also, when windows starts up, the screen flashes several times. Can anyone tell me what's wrong?

yes it's normal. x64 has to emulate 32bit, so they call it x86. In reality x64 IS x86, well the AMD version is, it's x86_64. I think intel emulates x86 I don't remember, or is it the other way around it emulates true 64bit via the x86_64 calls. anyways yes it's normal, that's where your 32bit programs are installed.
