    Full Graphics In Safe Mode

    Hello everyone,

My pc is crippled after automatic updates completed screwed up everything.
I cannot log in anymore without my computer freezing within 2 minutes.

This is ok as I can use safemode with networking and still get my work done. I have enabled sound, changed the resolution, and a few other necessary things to make it feel more like its not in safe mode.

However, everything still is kind of fuzzy and I want to know how I can enable full graphics in safe mode.

Thank you for your help and taking the time to read this.

    OS: Windows 7 64bit

Thats a very strange solution. Why dont you try a system restore/repair install/fresh install?

I have tried everything.. After research, a lot of work is required to get my pc back working properly and I do not have the time to go through all of that now, and will be buying a new pc soon anyway.

I am not interested in getting it working properly while not in safe mode.

    Thanks for your reply!

Safe mode is by definition a temporary solution to be able to fix the operating system after a crash like you're describing. What exactly is the error you're getting?

I am using it as a temporary solution (as in until I buy a new computer).

LOL well if that's your decision I guess...

You won't be able to activate full Windows functionality in Safe Mode, so I guess you'll either have to fix the problem or live with it.

As far as I know their isn't a way to get full graphics in safe mode. What you can do in safe mode is remove the updates that caused the problem and go back to normal mode. Yes you can still buy a new computer ever after your old one is fixed.

If you installed a driver update then you could try to role back the driver to fix the problem

one of the things that makes safe mode 'safe' is that it doesn't use the proper graphics driver, but uses a basic safe default driver that will work with no problems, except for reduced functionality.

buying a new computer to fix the problem is like buying a new car if you get a flat tyre - although maybe you want a new machine anyway...
