increase dedicated video memory (64 bits)

My Dell XPS Black laptop comes with:
Movil Intel 965 Express Chipset Family Adaptor
Total Available Graphics Memory **** 358 MB
Dedicated Video Memory **** 0 MB
System Video Memory **** 128 MB
Shared System Memory **** 230 MB
I want to increase the Dedicated Video Memory because I want to use my computer on gaming and it needs a lot of memory...
I tried to enter the BIOS but it says that this view is for information only and do not let me change the memory from there...
    Please can anyone help me
    Thanks in advanced

    Welcome to Seven Forums yuya86!
With a factory motherboard there is little they allow you to change in the BIOS. I have an old Dell Vostro. The only suggestions I have are:
    1. Determine how much RAM your system will support and upgrade to the maximum.
    2. Check with Dell support to see if there is a "hidden" method to bolster the graphics memory.

    good luck!:)

If won't let you change it for a reason, that is the most that the old 965G would allow. See the chart here,

Graphics — Graphics memory frequently asked questions

    384 MB max for it.

Even if it allows you to increase the memory, it isn't going to help you with gaming. The video chipset isn't intended for gaming, so you can't expect anything out of the GPU...which is your limiting factor here...not the amount of memory it has access to.

    Hi yuya
The Graphic chip uses memory from the RAM so the way to do this is to increase the amount of RAM in your Laptop, but do not hold your breath as you are unlikely to notice a difference in gameplay These graphic chips are just not designed to play games
