Ati Catalyst 8.12 W7 Black levels way off
Im running Windows 7 Beta 7000 x64 with an HD 4870 under Catalyst 8.12. everything is fine except for video being washed out with contrast maxed out on sd video (hd video is also fine) I know this is a problem with vista aswell (8.11 + 8.12 only) is there a windows 7 fix for it?

I had the same problem after installing the windows 7 catalysts drivers , there was a windows update driver installed , I rolled back my display driver and it's back to normal .
I then hid the windows ati driver and will not install it again .

Have finally fixed it woop woop!, what happens is with latest catalyst drivers for windows 7 and also vista for some weird reason display wrong colors contrast etc in sd video (except hd 1080p works fine) anyways the fix is easy download DXVAChecker ive upped it to rapidshare (was hard 2 find) when you run the exe all you need to do is select the BT601CSC tab and change to 1 that its job done....

Boomstick777. I have the same problem so I ran DXVAChecker but could not see the BT601CSC tab, only two other tabs. Please can you tell me how you managed to change the setting.
