Windows 7: Peculiar screen resolution issue

I know there are already a few threads out there somewhat similar to this, but I've got a new spin on it.



Recently updated to Windows 7 x64 with a fresh install, and have run into a few driver related issues it seems. Currently I'm dealing with a gremlin that won't let me set my screen resolution to my monitor's native 1900x1080 (which it handled perfectly capably back on Vista). The peculiar bit is that on a fresh boot the monitor recognizes itself as 1680x1050, but when it wakes from sleep or hibernate, it corrects itself to 1080p.

Any insight into why it won't let me set it to 1080p until after a sleep?
