    Lenovo T61 with Nvidia Quadro NVS 140m

    Hi all

    Thaught I'd make a post of this since I had trouble getting my graphics driver working with build 7264 x64 and the latest 7600 x64 release..

    The driver I used earlier was presented on windowsupdate as a
    (WDDM Pre-release) (does not show up with build 7264 x64 and latest 7600 x64)

    Download this driver -> http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/nvidia...24_win7x64.exe

    When you extract it you will find a zip archive called: additional_infs.zip
    Inside this archive extract the file called: nvlt.inf

    Put it with the rest of the files you extracted from the .exe file.

    The driver is not digitally signed, but you will at least get your videocard working :)

    I have modified driver version 186.03. It is for Lenovo T61 Nvidia nvs 140m. I have also patched problem with blocked brightness control. All the magic behind my modification is changed device id in the nvdm.inf file and other additions in this file required for correct behavior of the driver (some lines were included from the original Lenovo Vista driver). Original file is included in the directory "backup" so you can compare it with the modified file nvdm.inf in the root of driver to see changes. Here it is for download

    WARNING: I am not responsible for any damage to your hardware or software caused by this driver!
    But it should work, I am using it right now on my laptop :)

    Just head over here - Download NVIDIA drivers | drivers for mobile cards and laptops | laptopvideo2go.com

    I've found 190.40 to be best at this time.

    For me, 190.40 didn't work with the brightness control. I found that 190.62 did (ThinkPad T61 14" widescreen model 7664 w/ nVidia Quadro NVS 140M). I have Windows 7 RTM. Thanks for the info, peeps, it saved my Windows 7 install!

    Maybe there is problem with brightness control enable registry key. It is located in the inf file. There have to be this line

    HKR,, EnableBrightnessControl, %REG_DWORD%, 0x00000001
