    ATI Raedon 5870 problem?

Is there any fix on the 5870 problem? I get this issue only when I am battery and not A/C. The problem being that whenever I watch any sort of video or play an HD game, the display driver crashes and then appears as a green screen there after until I restart the computer. Can anyone suggest any help? This computer is less than a month old and I'm annoyed of the driver crashing whenever I'm on battery power, so can anyone help?

Maybe a power problem/weak battery...how long does it run before the problem appears?

It runs fully until I watch a YT video or play an HD game so it can go from any range of time.

So if you were fully charged, started the game, it would crash right away.....but if you did not run a game it would run for some time?

Have you tried to update the drivers from AMD?/Micro-star?

Might also try to turn off hardware accelerated flash.....

Yep, it crashes whenever I go into an HD game or YT video after only like 1 minute and, I have tried updating the driver from Micro-star but it does nothing. But I have no idea what this hardware accelerated flash this or how to turn it off

Well, that fixed the video problem on battery but now for the simple gaming on battery problem. Most of the games I have are that of high quality and all if not most of them forces my computer to crash.

How long do these games run before they crash? Have you ever been able to game on battery?

Games generally run for 5-10 minutes before crashing and I have not been able to game on this new computer since I had gotten it using the battery. I mean I can easily play flash games and all that but its real games that I can't play without crashing

How long can the laptop run on just battery power? I ask because any laptop with a 5870m is going to be powerful, but the flip side is it will draw a lot of power...It might have never or was not intended to game on the battery....at any rate the battery will not last long/possibly it can't make it through a dvd movie before shut down.

Flash games run on the 2D part of the card....the 3D is where the power draw is.....
