Display always drops into power save

    Display always drops into power save


    New computer, not even 24hrs old. Got my BF-BC2 game installed and patched up but display drops into power save when i try to start playing. The game is still running, i can here it and everything, I just can't get the monitor to come out of Power save mode.Any idea's or tips would be very appreciated

    Try this: Start/Control Panel/System and Security/Power Options....Check High Performance...see if that helps...

I prefer to manually power down the monitor rather than rely on the "Turn off the display" setting in Power Plan Settings. Is there a major difference? Good, Bad, Ugly, das macht nichts? Any critical concerns I need be aware of? -thx

Hello computer experts! I can go in to power options, change an existing plan or make a new plan, but when I change an individual setting, such as "turn screen of in X minutes", it won't save the change after I turn the computer off & on. I used to be able to do this.... TIA! Murf
Hello I run seven home on a laptop toshiba a100-590 i select the power plan 'balanced' with 'put computer to sleep' = never when plugged & on battery. however, the laptop goes to standby after x time when plugged. when not plugged, the indicator says 'no battery detected' what can I...
..have noticed a strange problem with 7 build 7201 .. after waking up the display when it has been turned off for a while (the laptop has not been in sleep mode) it loses http access to the internet. Streaming audio, Skype etc continue but I cannot get any web page .. the troubleshooter...
