I guess you want to ajust the resolution of the TV.

If it's a old TV with a S-Video composite, You'll have to put the resolution to 640x480 (or any 4:3 resolutions).
If it's a "HD Ready" TV, you'll have to put it to 1280x720.
If it's a "Full HD" TV, you'll have to put it to 1920x1080.

For the color ajustment, you need to do it on your TV. Also, I think you figured it out, you need to put the TV on S-Video channel and the computer will detect it and send the right signal.

Btw, I have the same graphic card but I didn't try the S-Video coz I have no TV for testing.

I think if you give us the model of your TV or LCD screen we can probably tell you what are the native resolutions and refesh rates, so you can use the proper settings..

I have the same videocard (geforce 8500GT) and a non-hd tv (grundig) and I can't figure how can I set my PC to send a good signal thru the S-video Port. My AV chanel (on the tv) it's permanently black. Then when I try to apply any change made on Nvidia Control Panel, the tv is flickering something black&white and thant's all (black again...

I've got a GeForce 8500GT card and a JVC model AV 36950 MTS Model and I can't get any video from the SVideo connection using the supplied SVideo to RCA input or a straight SVideo cable. I get the same results as member Bobot90 on his post from 7-26-2009 @ 5:03 am. I've tried everything I could think of using the NVidia control panel including the search method. Nothing seems to work. Any ideas?
