2 seperate graphics cards help plz

    hi people,
I wanted to know if i could use 2 graphics cards, nVidia GeForce2 MX400 (asus v7100PRO) and the intel 82865G Graphics and Memory Controller Hub. When I boot my PC (Dell OptiPlex GX270) with the nvidia card, it disables the intel hub and i can't find it, i have tried the device manager and it doesn't show up

You've answered your own question. It's not showing up because it's been disabled. Integrated graphics aren't the greatest, but yours is much better than the video card (mx 400), so I would use that and forget about the card.

Note that the Geforce MX400 series is discontinued and Nvidia no longer provides any Windows 7 drivers fro this product

Thanks, I realised that and use the standard VGA graphics adapter driver for both cards as there is no win7 support. I want to use both cards at the same time in order to use 2 monitors. Is there a solution or will I have to buy another graphics card with 2 VGA ports?

It's either or... either the onboard video or the mx 400; neither are very appealing options, so your best bet would be to get a newer graphics card... on supported by 7.

I'd have a new PC built - 400 pounds will get you a system that is 3 times faster. That system is too old to even consider upgrading.
