    Video card problem

    Hey Guys,

Okay so I have a Problem with my Media Center PC. I have a HD 4650 1GB video memory and i shut it down when I am not using it to help save on hydro. When i boot the system up it is trying to use the the DVI or VGA port because i am using a HDMI cable and HDMI port on the video card but why is it always setting my main display as a secondary and i can't see anything that is not set right. I am hoping some one on here can help me. I have installed the lastest drivers from ATI's website. I have uninstalled the drivers used driver sweep and removed the card booted up with the integrated video then downloaded the drivers again and installed the card and the drivers and it doesn't help.

    Thanks

Sometimes it will set the main display as secondary if you have some other type of video plugin to the computer (such as both the HDMI and DVI connected at the same time), in case you were wondering why I asked.

Could you clarify what you mean in the second sentence of your first post, it's confusing a bit.

Whoops, missed a period, it's the next (third) sentence I need.

My video card has VGA DVI and HDMI and I am using HDMI but its setting my main display at either VGA or DVI port not HDMI as that is the only cable connected to my video card. Its setting m HDMI as my secondary Display.

If I remember correctly you should turn Off Clone or Dual Monitor and restart the PC, it then should see the HDMI cable as the only display.

Also, make sure in the Catalyst Control Center that your display is detected as the primary, 1, not 2 or something.
