Or better yet, download MSI Afterburner, and check the GPU temperature monitor it has built into it.
If you going over 100 C then you're having problems. Otherwise it might be a clocking issue. If pushing back your core clock and shaders by 10 MHz doesn't work then there may be an issue with the card itself and it's time for a new one.
As it is, if you go on Dell right now, you can buy a better system than the one you have for about $300.
