Windows 7 - ATI Mobility Radeon 7500

Hi OZ,
I would really appreciate if you could send me a link for some tool that can be used instead of the ATI control panel that can control the brightness and RGB settings of the display.

There is a software called ATI Tray Tools - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia which will do the job, but i cannot get it running on 7 (tried latest versions - 1.3.x and 1.6.x-beta). I get an error message about memory location that cannot be read on program startup. The same problem is reported multiple times from users on Vista, but so far without a solution.

hi,

i tried a ati mobility radeon 7500 beta driver for windows vista and it worked fine with windows 7 rc1 on my ibm t40.

okay guys, it has been so long since anyone has posted anything here... for my side, i was very busy for last semester of uni, so i had to roll back to windows XP and stop trying and playing with driver on windows 7. however, i will try the new RC releases soon and check whether things have changed or not. and i will also try the link u posted spezi8472 and make sure all things are goin well... if any of u has already done things, i would appreciate it, whether u succeeded or not, to share it with us, since both ways it will help us a lot...

Hi there,

I'm really interested in drivers for the 7500.

I still use an IBM R51 with Mobility Radeon 7500 and I will setup Win 7 RC from scratch tonight...

Could somebody plz advice if it is still necessary to change DirectX to OpenGL for vid playback or has this issue been solved by using one of the modded drivers in this thread?

Here are the steps:

Download this driver: Free File Hosting Made Simple - MediaFire (modded Catalyst 6.2) and extract it to C:\. My yesterday's Windows 7 setup with the above video driver went fine. 720p MKV playback and AVI went fine with GOM Player, AVI with WMP as well. So far no problems to report. Cheers,

Hey Spezi,

just wanted to drop a note to say that this driver worked on my Dell D600 Lattitude. Still no Areo (no biggie) but at least the games work and Device Manager recognizes the the video as ATI Mobility 9000. thanks again!
