i ran it in compatibility mode.... but the problem persists.... adobe audition 3 worked in my frnd's desktop (Windows 7) without this problem....
Your friend probably has a completely different hardware setup with a different Graphic card. So yes it might be a rendering issue/bug in the Nvidia Driver for your card

Here Is A Good mid range card if your budget could be stretched. The better GFX card you have, the more GFX load is taken from the CPU, freeing up some resources for you. This card would require its own PCIe power connectors.

An upgrade to a E6400 CPU would be helpfule too. It is slightly slower but has a bus speed of 1066Mhz instead of your current 800Mhz.
