That's like asking which vehicle is best for you. Without a budget and types of usages for the computer, we can't really make any suggestions.

It has a PCI-E X16 graphics slot, which means that it can use most graphics cards that are currently on the market. (Possible limiting factors: your power supply, the length of the card.)

You could consider a GTS 450. It wants a 400W power supply, and a single 6 pin PCI-E power connector. (Most cards come with a Molex to PCI-E power adapter.)

I'm using this exact card, I highly recommend it, it runs surprisingly cool after playing GTAIV for 2 hours (highest temp this card has seen is 48C). It needs a hefty amount of juice to power it though, but it is well worth it. I got mine for $109.99 USD, and the card is about 8 1/2 inches long.

And about your x16 slot, don't worry, even if the card is an x16, x16 2.0, or x16 2.1, they will all work with your board.

    With your board, yes.

In your system? You haven't supplied the information that would permit an answer.

A version of the card from eVGA is approx. 267 mm long. Would that fit in your case? It wants a minimum of a 600W power supply, with one 6 pin PCI-E power connector, and one 8 pin (or a 6+2 pin connector, which can be used with either 6 or 8 pin). If you can answer "yes" to all those, then you could consider a GTX580.

As the DG35EC is a microATX board, your case may be too small to accept a long card.
