GTX 560 Bottleneck?

My buddy recently just bought a GTX 560...
He only has a core 2 duo @ 2.66GHZ right now, so I was considering upgrading to a Q6600, (quad core)

Am I wrong to think that his Dual Core is bottle-necking the GPU?

Good upgrade yes/no?

Exactly what Ivan said.

Make sure to overclock it though, and more importantly, scour the very fabric of the universe for a G0 chip.

The upgrade would be good, the Q series is very nice. As for bottle-necking I don't think it would(the Core Duo). The CPU will offload GFX to the GPU, such as games and video. The Q may give you better RAM performance as well.

As a sidebar, use the 270.61 driver, not the 275.33, works better.
