As an update, I've cleaned up the fan (again), made sure everything was firmly secured, got the recommended driver (270. something, I think, I forget exactly). The driver cools down faster now, but only when not in use. For example, I can exit a game when it's running at, say, 90 C, and it'll drop to 60 C within 5 minutes. However, it's still overheating while idling, reaching 105+ C and then shutting down my computer.
Which tells me no air is moving at idle, check all your fans with the side cover off, make sure there is nothing blocking the air flow.

Oops should have made it clear, it overheats if my computer idles on the title/menu screen of a game (like if I start a game but go get something to drink), but not anywhere else, not during graphic intensive games or general use.

How old is the card? It sounds like the fan might be going out on it. Maybe time to start thinking about getting a new one.

It's about 1 year and 2 weeks old. The warranty JUST ended, so I guess it would be a good time to start looking...
I just still find it weird that it's 100% fine during heavy gameplay, but horrible while sitting on just the title screen.
