today i brought a new gfx card... nvidia g210... now my query is, earlier i had an nvidia 512mb gt8500 card... in that my windows experience index was 4.5... now i re-ran the assesment and came to know as 4.1... since i've upgraded from 512mb to 1024mb experience index gone from 4.5 to 4.1.... anythin wrong ???
WEI is not so good. If you want more accurate test for game performance run 3dmark test.
Also try updating your drivers. That may be one of things that your WEI is lower.
Hate to say it but you didn't actually upgrade anything, your old card is actually faster than the new one. You essentially replaced one low end video card with one that is even lower, that is why the WEI score went down.
Don't let the amount of memory on the card fool you, that for the most part has no bearing on how fast the card is. On a card like the G210 having 1 GB of memory on the card is pure marketing as the card isn't fast enough to ever make use of it. You want to upgrade from your 8500 GT you need to look at something a little beefier than the G210.
