Connecting Monitor To Card

I just got my first graphics card and i have to ask a really nooby question... The card didn't come with a dvi vga adapter and do i need one to use the graphics card with the monitor?

the monitor has a VGA slot and the card has a dvi, native HDMI, and a display port

A DVI to VGA adapter is probably your least expensive option.

You'd get better advice if you specified the model numbers of the graphics card and the monitor.
