Well you mainly need to just start badgering them (nicely).

It is extremely common practice that RMA replacements are made with "Refurbished" parts. And frequently those are just other peoples RMAs that have passed some level of quality test.

All you can relaly do is keep RMAing it and (nicely) letting them know how you feel about how they are treating you and your likelyhood of using their products again in the future. Had an RL friend have to RMA an nvidia board 4 times to get one that worked last year

But it is important to be polite so that they feel like they want to help you and maybe even a little guilty...

Unfortunately I have to completely agree with fseal

To them it's good business practice, to us it's getting a used product when you payed for a new one. Not fair but their attitude is if it works why complain.

Anyway if it works there's nothing you can do about it.

Just keep e-mailing the person who is doing the RMA and keep requesting a new card. Also get thier phone extention if you can to call them in person. They will sooner or later get a manager to handle your RMA and just to get you from keep emailing them they will send you a new card.

I have a Sapphire 4870 x2 and they gave me the run around like yourself. However after sending the card back 3 time, which where all DOA, they just sent me a new card still in the srinkwrap. Never had a issue since and that was about 2 years ago.

Well the sent me a shipping label for the shipping back but i almost got taken i think because the RMA number on the shipping label was different then the one in the email sent to me with instructions so i changed it to the one with the email instructions and hope all goes well and i get a new card and not a refurbished one. This time I and going to put it right in the system and run my own tests and see if it crashes the system. Thanks. I migh go for a new one in the end like the HD6770 i just got to replace the one i am doing the RMA for which is working great not a problem.

Despite what some are saying there's no guarantee that you'll get a new card. They only have to send you one that works. And if you read the fine print of the warranty agreement it'll say something like that.

I feel your pain/anger as I've been there before - I got stuck with a refurbished TV tuner after my new one failed 2 months down the road. In the end I had to suck it up and be stuck with it but it never gave me a problem.

Anyway I dumped that company, only to find out from another company's support section that this is standard practice

I’m just saying this be because if they think you’re gaming the system they’ll cut you off.

Just food for thought.

Good luck.

I just anoyed them and I got lucky and got a new card. I agree there's no guarantee that you'll get a new card. They should heavly test the product before and after the repair but they don't because that would mean spending money. In the end there here to make money.
