Can't get higher resolution than 1024x768 I just bought a laptop from a friend and I'm stupid so I don't know shit, but I know that the resolution should definitely get bigger than 1024x768. What is wrong, do I need new drivers or something?

You need an updated driver for you graphics card.
There should be a label on your notebook containing a list of hardware in your computer.
With the name of your graphics card, use google search to find some updated drivers. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Enterprise x64 SP1 |
