HPVP 15 no larger than 1024x768

Hey forum. I have a HPVP15 that is 15". My laptop LCD "broke", and I am using this as my primary display. I am absolutely positive that I could get a higher resolution on this monitor as it is clearly close to the same size to my 15.6" LCD display on my laptop that gets 1366x768. I'd appreciate help ALOT.

Thanks again forum!

This states that 1024 x 768 is the factory set resolution on that monitor.

That's also the native resolution in the chart here,

So, there's no way for it to be a larger resolution?

Have you tried setting a different resolution in Catalyst Control Center?

Or

cannot get above 1024X768 Monitor
I have nvidia 9100 and an old mag CRT monitor. It does 1280X1024. However the best I can get is 1024X768 on windows 7. I tried adding 1280X1024 as a resolution and I got mode test failed or something like that. I tried 1280X800 and it allowed me to change it, but the display was almost like an...

1024X768 resolution leave a gap!
For reasons due to health and sight I like to use 1024x768 and not 1280x1024 on my 19"lcd monitor. If I set it to 1024x768 then there is a gap top and bottom of the screen that cannot be moved. In Windows XP I can set it to 1024x768 and there is no gap. I reckon it must be driver issues in...
