well if you use driver sweeper and apply the hotfix only you won't see the 10.12
Correct. I posted this a few pages back,

Latest AMD Catalyst Video Driver for Windows 7-cccnoversionshowing.png

which is the 11.1a after using the Genetix Cleaner from here (and from what I have seen so far, doesn't have any of the issues that Driver Sweeper can),

Catalyst [Modified build] - Guru3D.com Forums

also when you do apply the hotfix it will not tell you what version it is either
It still shows what CCC version it is as well as the driver versions, it just doesn't show the Catalyst version. Heck if you wanted to you could make it say anything you wanted too,

Rage3D Discussion Area - View Single Post - AMD Catalyst 11.1 & 11.1a Hotfix Now Available

just find that line in the WHQL set or add it to the hotfix and add the version number yourself, or make it say anything you want it too as it has no affect on how anything works.

Yes the ccc disappears and when you go to start up it opens then disappears it brings down the WEI as well a multitude of issues.
That is something else than the missing CCC version showing. Mine opens and closes just fine.

@ sygnus21, like profdlp not seeing that here and not sure that I have seen it mentioned elsewhere. I have seen that some are getting a strange mouse lag in the top right corner of their screens though, a few of them in the above Rage3D thread. Seeing as you haven't yet maybe post about it over there and see if anyone else is getting it.

Thanks, will do that. Yeah the only issue for me is the delay when right clicking items on the desktop. Doesn't happen anywhere else, and I haven't noticed any other issues.

Anyway I will take your advice and post the issue over at rage.

    Thanks.

Anyone one else notice there a slight delay when right clicking on the desktop with the last two driver updates with the new control panel?

    Thanks.
Not exactly the same problem but since installing 11.1 my video rendering performance has deteriorated significantly. Web pages are rendering very slow.
I thought it was my internet connection but it is fine.

I'm kinda pissed with this 11.1...

Between this past Friday and today, there were two things I've done to my pc, one hardware the other software. Friday night, I removed a card reader from the front bay--no big deal. Yesterday, I installed Catalyst 11.1. Every single cold boot or restart of my pc has resulted in a BSOD at startup.

10.12 has worked flawless for me and I should have known better than to upgrade software when what's already installed is working as it should...

Back to 10.12 to stay... for a nice long while.

Why is my Catalyst Version 10.12? Is it supposed to be 11.1 Or not? I downloaded the full new package and all like I always do. I have the same page saved as a book mark. But I always look it up without using the bookmark first to make sure it is still the right page and it was. So I downloaded the same package I have done the last couple of times. But When I go into Catalyst control center and go into software it says Catalyst Version 10.12. I just want to know if this is right. I even tried to go and download them individually. Just before I actually let it download again I checked the version and they were the same ones I already have. So I did not download them for a second time. Yes, I have tried completely uninstalling all ATI products manually and reinstalling the package.

I had black screens with the 10.12. Went back to 10.11.

I tried 11.1, no issues at all. I also like the new control panel tha lets me add colour.
