Thanks for the heads up. Going to give them a go.

Sucks to see people are complaining about still having issues with the games I'm actually playing though

    EDIT:

These beta drivers dropped my WEI from 7.7 to 6.0, lol

Fail? Can drivers do that? I thought the WEI was purely based on hardware info.

There must be something going on with these drivers lately or Windows itself. Ever since 9.11 or so, whenever I run the wei assessment after installing the new ones, it will put both graphics scores at 6.0.

then I can run it again, and it will go back to 7.5.

Happened a few times to me already. I can either run the assessment with the gpu fan on auto from ccc and it will be 7.5, or turned up nearly all the way, and it will be 6.0. Or vice versa.

Seen a few others mention getting 6.0 too.

At first I thought it may have been a bottleneck

But I had to actually manually delete the contents of C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore

    And then re-run it.

It's interesting to note that since I lost 2GB module, I dropped from 7.8 to 7.7 - Winsat does like quantity.

I always run the assessment from the Advanced Tools, on the left side.

Instead of from the bottom right on your shot there. Not completely sure if there's a difference between the 2 but I think the former option clears older scores.

Good call on the thought of a bottleneck though.

It's supposed to, but it didn't. It made no difference until I manually deleted the datastore contents.

    Damn you bottleneck Jones

running these drivers without a hitch, fps has remained the same across the board.... benching is unchanged.

they're just as good as the previous 8.70 RC2 IMO..... :) (still showing ''cat 9.12'', when will that revision stop plaguing me )

spoke too soon....... my system just crashed like never before, it locked up completly with tiny green artifacts all over the screen , im really hoping ts related to this new driver & not a developing H/W issue.

b/c what i just saw i'd usually relate to faulty H/W , if it happens again i'll revert to the RC2 driver, if it continues after that.....''can anyone say RMA''
