If you look closer on the download page you will find the link for the previous driver versions.

    Radeon model cards:

    For the 64bit 7, Previous Catalystâ„¢ Drivers

    For the 32bit 7, Previous Catalystâ„¢ Drivers
(note Vista 32bit seen there but still for 7)

    Embedded/integrated motherboard Radeon:

    For 64bit 7, Previous Catalystâ„¢ Drivers

    For 32bit 7, Previous Catalystâ„¢ Drivers

Now for even older versions going back as far as the 7.1 an alternate 3rd party site carries them at ATI Catalyst Drivers Downloads

They carry them all the way upto the latest available there while this would be for older model series cards mainly since most will go directly to the AMD/ATI site for the latest.

    10.7a Beta/hotfix drivers released today.

    GPU-75: ATI Catalystâ„¢ 10.7a Beta Driver
Has anyone tried these yet? I'm curious if these would help fix my freezing problem.
I have and they have been good for me on a few titles where crossfire was previously broken and just flat out Blue screening.

Although I had issues installing these over the top of 10.6 - I had to do a driversweeper install to get Crossfire working again.

Hmm... Crossfire was definitely bluescreening for me, to the point where I'm now just running a single 5770. Maybe I should give these a shot.

Here I run a single 5750 model card with a dual monitor setup but kept running into OpenGL problems with the 10.5, 6, and 7 releases. There was never any general display problems just old titles simply would not run.

Something in the latest I have to say is definitely hampering running older title pc games where OpenGL support is required. I've been hearing this from others besides seeing that here. The 10.4 however is still available if any of the newer three are causing anyone problems and seems to work well.

Thanks! I'll have to give this one a try here and update this post in a bit.

I see the 10.7a beta page is now blank when going to look that up.

Nope! Still seeing the same thing on the 10yr. old title with the patch on.

That's interesting since someone asking about going back to the older Cat. versions was having problems with the same game with the 10.7 installed.

Here the problem is being seen mainly with one older stubborn title that simply refuses to run with anything newer the 10.4 as you saw from error info. Surprizingly that same error is identical to the information found so far about a 1.11 patch while the game's cd is a bit newer seeing a later 1.33 patch.

The latest versions also now see the Hydravision support added to them which tends to make me wonder if this is the possible cause effecting older titles. But I'm also looking at the ATI Stream Software Development Kit (SDK) v2.1 to see if that will make any difference.

This might help with those old OpenGL games,

CATALYST and OpenGL - what works and what doesn't - Rage3D Discussion Area

Post #28 summarizes it the best,

Let me break it down a little simpler if i can.

The older version of openGL only had x amount of extensions, lets say 50 for example sake.

The newer versions of openGL have added extensions over the years. So again for example sake lets say were up to 75.

Some of these older games were hard coded to expect only 50 extensions, and when they request the list if more than 50 show up BOOM GOES THE WORLD.

It's a combination of crappy programming and the natural progress of a graphics API really.
Basically it isn't the drivers but the games themselves.

If the newer drivers are working or needed for DirectX games try adding this,

    atioglxx.zip

to the game's folder. That should force the game to use it instead of the latest version that gets install in the System32 folder (or SysWOW64 on 64 bit systems).
