The dealer think the card is defective, so I'll probably get a new card. He will contact me tomorrow. I'll keep you updated.

Agreed but the point I was trying to make (albeit badly) was that I wouldn't want the card back now...

He called me now and said that they've had the card @ 105 degrees for 12 hours. I said to him that this is way too hot. He then said that "we've had cards like that @ 110 degrees without probs..."

Anyways, he will give me a new card. But he offered me a GTX560 card which he said had similar performance to the GTX295.

Is this correct? I badly want the dealer to give me a GTX570 card.

It is not correct see this comparison, among many: GeForce GTX 295 vs GeForce GTX 560 Ti – Performance Comparison Benchmarks @ Hardware Compare

NTW, the 570 would be better that the 295, Go for the 570....

I complained a bit to him in the last mail I sent about GTX560 vs GTX295, and I got this mail back;

"An Asus GTX 570 DirectCUII is waiting for you, so just come by and pick it up when you want"

I'm very happy now.

Then I can mark the thread as solved, once and for all. Thanks a lot for your help everybody! Very appreciated.

Intermittent flickering, HHD/RAID Problems
History: A few weeks back I had a series of crashes and failure with Win XP 64bit. After about 4 clean re-installs, I figure that the 64bit version was unstable or something so I started over and did a clean install of Win 7 Pro 64bit. Then I started having the same problems I had with Win XP....

Only game to cause it. The temp on my card is only going to 60c area. That isn't much considering its a 4850. Is there a fix? It almost never happened on xp. Frame tearing was the worst, now this. Any idea?
