DirextX diag showing wrong VGA card info..

First of I am new to the fourm and I was not compleetly shure as to where to post this problem.

I have recently upgraded my video cards to from XFX 5850's to XFX 6950's and for some reason even tho the catalyst info says 6950's the Directx diag file show "Card name: ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series" I completely swept my drivers before installing the new 6950's. Even reinstalled a second time with out no change. I then contacted AMD and was told the problem lies with directX, so I downloaed the runtime from Microsoft and that did not fix anything.
Does anyone know how I can correct this issue.
