EDID is data that the display gives to a device that describes what it is capable of, for example what resoltions, what refresh rate and so on.

The 1366*768 res works fine in windows and in dx10 games, only when playing DX9 games will it only go up to 1360*765.

I really don't see that monitor doing anymore then you are saying plus the aspect ratio is 16:9 should be 16:10
Plus the reviews are not to good about this product 'If you are really shooting for that resolution that monitor won't do it
I doubt it is your card the TV just wont accept the commands and it may just be a no good purchase even though it looks like a deal it could cause more headaches then keeping a few extra dollars in your pocket
I would look for a quality tv that has a 16:10 aspect ratio standard and go from there even though 16:9 is standard the quality will be much better at 16:10 plus
Not to sure about how Nvidia Hdmi works compared to ATI but if you have one monitor you only need one connection if you have two connections wired to the same Monitor that might be the conflict
Use one only if you only have one monitor that might be the issue you are confusing the grfx card
Ps The monitor shouldn't need drivers windows gives a generic driver
Also i would try a different monitor to see if it is happening as well
One more thing you didn't mention what version Nvidia drivers you are useing that would be a big help
First 1366*768 is 16:9, as is the TV as are most HDTVs if not all.
Second the monitor has and will do that resolotion and higher and has done for many years on multiple gpus, I can post a screen shot if you do not believe me, This TV has worked flawlessly.
I do not have two connections to the monitor, I only have one and even if I did I would swtich between the outputs on my tv to show the extended desktop. This would not cause a conflict. I only have two dvi ports and s video, no HDMI.
With my ati HD4670 i could have the DVI, HDMI and VGA plugged into the TV and windows would detect 3 displays, meaning if i switch the source on the TV i could view three separate desktops, so I fail to see how it could be issue.
Dont know what reviews your are reading but i bought this TV 4 and 1/2 years ago and it is still going strong, color reproduction is good is good. This TV can easily go up to 1080i and the reviews I have read after i bought it say that it is the best tv you could buy for that price at that time. I have already stated this but maybe i should say it again. This is a common problem with nvidia drivers when connected to a HDTV and and nvidia refuse to acknowledge it, if you do a google search for blurry washed out colors with nivida drivers you will see what I mean hence why i have to input the EDID data myself, hence why i have this problem.
The monitor does not require drivers it is detected as plug and play. The EDID data is input directly into the nvidia drivers when they are extracted before you install them. You add in a line of code the overides nvidias default EDID data, then when you install them the display comes up correctly.
I think you may be under the impression I have not bought this display yet, but i am not going out to buy a monitor of equal size, the tv is 26 inch but it actually has a 26 inch viewable screen rather than 26 inch in total which i have seen and that cost. loads.
This will more than likely happen if plugged into another HDTV but will not happen on a montior.
I have also mentioned that I have used Nvidia drivers 197 up to the latest beta.

Uhhh all those reviews say it is very good only the speakers are meant to be crap but I have external speakers.
I may know what the problem is but i dont know how to fix, Im thinking either registered tweak or changing the EDID data i put into the drivers.
so to clarify, apart from the nvidia inf, you also modified the EDID data for the windows driver?
edit: i THINK the nvidia inf might not have to be touched, but the default driver for the monitor might have to have changes done to the EDID data.
Yeah I have only added data to the nv_disp.inf I have not touched the generic monitor driver.
Funny thing is though is that the default windows driver that comes with 7 looks fine colors are good and text is well defined only the image is underscanned and obviously not very good for gaming, it is only when i install the nvidia drivers that i get the fuzzy washed out colors.

Instead of editing the resolution data, have you tried installing default and then resizing within the NVidia control planel?
Also have you tried DXDiag?

Think you may have missed a bit of info, it is not due to the screen being underscanned (that only happens with the default windows 7 drivers) that i have to input the data it is due to the colours on the screen being washed out and blurry once the nvidia drivers are installed, only when this data is inputted does the screen display normally and is not fuzzy or blurry with washed out colors.
DXdiag has reported every fine as it would do.
my advice would be to update the windows display driver with a rebuilt one.
the rebuilt one has to match the EDID data from the lcd panel manufacturing company's manual.
