Black Border Around Everything Displayed On Screen

I just built a new PC a few hours ago and I cant get my Radeon HD 5870 to display properly. The display wont fill up the entire screen of my monitor. So in turn, it looks as if there is a black border around what I see on screen. Has anyone else had this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

If it's only a small border and it's on a brand new monitor, try searching the monitors menu for an "auto image adjust" feature.

Check the Catalyst Control center and make sure the resolution is properly set.
Also, check for a overscan adjustment & adjust it as needed.

    @ boohbah
This is not going to enable you too see the Border. Its the monitor that is at fault here.

Go into the Menu on the screen and Select Auto Fit. and ensure your connection it 100% tight.

Also that your NOT using a VGA lead and ur using a using a DVI lead.

Also Ensure you have set the Res at the monitors best.

    Try the Scaling options.

Edit: I just notice that Wishmaster posted that already.

Well now you also have a screenshot

I am using DVI to HDMI Out on a 42" HDTV. I was just using a GTX 9800 with this same HDTV and it worked just fine.

Just hooked my PC up to my HDTV via VGA opposed to DVI and the problem is solved. Thank you so much for the input. You have helped a ton
