    Hello Nandy.

Crysis 2 is a very graphical demanding game.

I recommend you check Systems Requirements Lab, creator of Instant Expert Analysis and pick Crysis 2 from the drop-down list. It will tell you if your machine is up for the job.

You could also try lowering all the video settings in-game (incl. resolution), then experiment by adjusting accordingly.
If this doesn't help, you might be experiencing some overheating on your GPU.
Be sure to check your under-load GPU temps with CPUID (google it).

    Let me know, good luck!

    Sounds like your cards flapped/overheating.

Download GPU-Z to monitor the temps. Make sure you check 'Log to file' to be able to read the temps after a hang/restart.

Other culprits could be the PSU or memory. Start with the cards temps.

The temps are between 40 to 45 degree Celsius. Isn't that an ideal temperature.

Yes it is. But is that at load or idle?

that is called Garbage Display and it is the symptom of a Dying GPU but there are tricks to fix it like baking the GPU in the oven believe me it works i did it some years ago and fixed my 8600GT. But you have to be very careful about the procedure but anyone can do that at home
