No Issue, Just a Question About A Setup Idea

Ok I am thinking it's time to start saving $$ up to buy a new toy.

I have 1x Gtx 570sc in my setup now (see specs for more info). So my question is:

Get 1x more Gtx 570sc and run SLI or Get 1x Gtx 460 2Win and run my 570sc as a physx card??

I will be running 3x Monitors. Computer is used for Everything, Including gaming!!

SLI is so much faster than dedicated PhysX, not all games use PhysX so it'll make more sense to use SLI, get another 570

I tend to agree, a second 570s to handle it all may be the better solution.

I also think the 570 would likely be overkill for dedicated PhysX.

Although I personally prefer to just run a single card, 3 monitors is certainly getting into SLI or dual GPU area.
From the choices you've listed, SLI 570s would be more powerful, as well as cheaper considering you already have 1.

So SLI 570s is the route Id take. I honestly do not think youll gain much from the 570 as a PhysX card to justify it.

This. Here's the current list of games that support GPU accelerated Physx,

PhysXInfo.com - Projects using PhysX SDK

19 games so far with 5 more still in development. Unless any of those games are a must have or you play them regularly, a dedicated Physx card isn't really worth it.

Well the way I was looking at it was.... My 570sc is really all I need so far, plays what ever I want on max in games. For anything else I do It's already overkill...lol (Except for Tri-Screen) . BUT .. Since I need (want) 3x monitors I figured the 570sc for physX (because I have it already). Then for only about $50ish more (than 2nd 570sc) get the 460 2win(Dual-gpu) because it will run 3x monitors and spec wise it should play and run close to a "Single 580sc" which is more than My 570sc which does everything I need but the 3x monitor setup.

Take a look at some of these benchmarks:
EVGA GTX 460 2WIN

The 460 is a good card, but the 570 seems to be often on its tail.
When it does beat out the 570, its trading puches with the 580.
I mean, true its faster than a 570, but not by a great deal. Just like the 580. So is it worth the extra cost?

Your call obviously as to which you prefer, but I still think 2 570s would do much better, even while doing its own PhysX.

Was trying to find a benchmark test that had both in it, but having troubles doing so ...

Either way you decide to go, they should both do well for the setup you are wanting.
