Anyone notice this: Odd behaviour @ 1080P Flash, latest version -

I've been in trial mode here for a few weeks tinkering with some of the later notebook & netbook releases with HDMI ports etc, and with two desktops, one with and older GeForce 8400 GS card, DVI to a nice 23" blu-ray spec monitor, the other with Radeon 6350 Sapphire low profile card.
I had been puzzled by some reports posted here and there about stuttering 1080P playback in the newer Aspire One 522 and/or 722 Netbooks which have the C50/C60 APU's and non-dedicated-vram Radeon 6xxx GPU's. I personally cleaned one of these up [a 722 c50 model], outfitted with the later CCC and drivers, stopped the background noise etc and got pretty decent 1080P playback output across HDMI to a 46" Bravia display. not bad. So I wondered at why some were having difficulty..

so today I took my desktops for another trial spin.
two high framerate 1080P movie Trailers I use because they are really dense & demanding are from the Ironman2 release, and from Avatar [actually a couple of pics each.] I wanted to compare subjective experience on my "known good" desktop vs. the netbooks. What surprised me was to see some stuttering and breakup on the desktop platform that I had not experienced anytime previously. I turned off everything i could that might be interfering [win7] and did some experimenting.
What's going on is this: If you start the vid and let it buffer a bit first, then switch it to Fullscreen 1080P while it is running, I'll get stuttering. But if I then run the slider back to the beginning again, it runs smoothly. I've never seen that before and can't come up with a rational reason. Anyone know why this would be? In other words, after the clip/file is fully buffered up, if its played from the beginning its ok, but from somewhere in the midst, its not smooth.

    ? clues?

I've got a similar problem, I record my own games and show the world my resulting videos on YouTube, however if I encode the videos in 60fps then playback on windows media player, it will be stuttering, as you can see, my desktop computer is no slouch, I've given up on windows media player and test all my playback on VLC because it's equipped to handle fast frame rates and higher resolution, I would suggest to try a different player.

I don't use mediaplayer for .flv file format.

basically, the problem I wrote about is livable if you just manipulate the buffer, and always begin at the very "0" beginning of the file. Why it goofs when I start midstream I cannot fathom - there must be some sort of frame indexing or such going on the background while its trying to catchup to playing.

but like you, I love VLC.... very seldom do I see something it does not do excellently.
I download K-Lite full with MPC for the sake of the codecs being linked to both WMP and MPC, but I mainly use VLC.
    and imgburn
    and DVDflick
    and.... and....
