XFX HD4350 reset overdrive?

    Hi,

My XFX-HD 4350 on Win7 32bit was working fine with ati catalyst control center latest driver ver 11.9

    Problem:

mistakenly 'Overdrive' GPU and RAM sliders moved forward upto full high by me manually, Catalyst Control center application tested new settings few for minutes ( not given me chance to cancel) then screen freezed with color snow over the normal desktop display. Perhaps ATI memory/GPU clock rate mismatch, too high.

restarting PC: everything boots normal, till CCC application start from startup, same problem happens.

I used selective startup and disabled CCC from startup options. Then sytem is OK as usual but CCC application doesn't start.

Tried to uninstall all ATI drivers and applications and then reinstalled, nothing helped. When CCC starts, it reads same values of overdrive and screen freezes.

Currently system is working fine without CCC. onli display driver of ATI.

I wish to have CCC functional, because I had enabled overdrive upto safe extents and it was fine earlier, wish to get it back.

    Q. How I can reset this CCC overdrive to normal or previous ranges while I can't even access that configuration screen because when ccc starts, it freezes. I have already tested re-installing whole ATI suite.

The quickest and easiest way to reset it is to boot to Safe Mode, open Windows Explorer and navigate to,

    C:\Users\Your Name\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE

and delete everything inside the ACE folder. It will then be recreated upon normal boot up with all CCC settings restored to their defaults. If you haven't, you will also have to set it to "show hidden files and folders" in Folder Options to find the above.

    Thanks a lot stormy13 ,
it worked. now things are back to normal ( default settings ) on CCC .

I remember last time, couple of years ago, I get stuck up in same problem I mentioned and I had to reinstall complete windows to get rid of this problem.

    Thanks again
