Screen Flickering in Crysis 2

Hello
Before the problem, here are the specs: I have 6870 CFX
6GB 1666 MHZ
and I7 965 Extreme

I have Crysis 2 (original, not skidrow not reloaded and etc) and it worked great 2 months ago. Now I want to play it again and this is what I get, but 25 times worse:

Latest drivers btw.
what should I do?
I tried with and without DX11, with and without V-SYNC and played with the graphics.
my screen res is 1680X1050

thanks for the helpers!

Hi kigy0 and welcome to Seven Forums!

Are you doing any overclocking on the system?

ps: te magyar vagy?

I can only offer a suggestion from my own experience with this particular game.

When I got Crysis 2 and played it, the game would flicker and then crash almost immediately.

After trying alot of things, I ended up reading somewhere that I had to increase the voltage on my GPU's to get it to work.

I'm running 2 GTX 570's in SLI.

Once I bumped the voltage using MSI Afterburner to 1.075 from 1.025, ( or something like that ) all my problems went away and the game ran great.

Because you're using an ATI/AMD, perhaps the same cause is causing different symptoms?

Kigy0 if you plan to adjust the voltages, please tell us the details and wait for some response before doing it.

You should not play around with the voltages unless you have got a really good reason and you know what you are doing.

This is true. I researched a lot before I did this.

It sounds like the card is over heating. Try under clocking not over clocking the GPU using MSI afterburner.

Actually it's not OC, and not UC-stock.
and I activated V-SYNC and chose windowed, so now I play without the flickering.
thanks anyway!

That's called "Screen tearing", it happens when your FPS is higher than the monitor refresh-rate in Hz.

No, if you watch the video you will see what he means.

For tearing you can use Vsync, but screen doesn't tear because you have too high fps rate. The process of frame creaton is out of control and the frames start to appear from the top gradually and the screen becomes 2 or more spearate images.
with vsync frame will only show up if it is fully rendered to the bottom
