Failed install C++2010 installing any CCC driver

I just got a AMD 66701GB to replace my old 9600gt512mb that the fan was going out of.The problem is that when I go to install the CCC install package I get a "failed to install driver package".In the View results it say's that C++2010 failed,sometimes 2010 will succeed and C++2005 will fail.I patched the C++2005 with the KB961894 patch that the XFX tech sent me in a troubleeshooting guide.Still I was geting the 2010 fail so I uninstalled C++2010sp1 and reinstalled it,then installed the CCC package and still the 2010 fail.I make sure to use driversweeper to remove anything left by the old driver.All my games CTD sometime's at start up or sometimes two hours in to the game.XFX tech responded to my issue saying that I need a "400W or higher power supply that has a six pin power connection"which is ok my psu is 430W and has one but the card it self doe's not require one,their no place to plug one in to.If I put my old gfx card in everything runs fine.Now its been a week and still no reply from XFX.Is the C++2010 causing my CTD's and how can I fix the C++ issue.Thx to anyone who helps.

That 400W PSU is just a minimum recommendation they give, and it doesn't really account for the other hardware components you use. With your 430W PSU you're already close to that limit, and if it isn't a brand-name PSU it probably isn't sufficient (cheap/no-name PSUs usually won't sustain the power output they're rated for).

Are you sure the videocard doesn't have a place for a 6-pin connector? Why would XFX advise you to get a PSU with one if you didn't need it? Better look again just to be absolutely sure...I do think that ATI card would benefit from extra power.

Their is no place for a six pin on the card,nether the ddr3 or the ddr5 versions of the XFX6670 that their was to choose from require one.My PSU is a thermaltake tr2-430W it has two 12V rails with 14A on one and 15 on the other for a total of 29amps,it has one six pin plug.I know its not the best psu in the world but it meets the cards requirements,I have no idea why they would tell me that.The card works fine in a friends computer and his 550ti works great in mine.At first because I am new to AMD gfx cards I had a issue with windows not loading with the 6670 then I found out that suound view was on auto,disableing that fixed windows loading.Also I turned off AMD HDAudo I herd it can cause issues.For some reason FalloutNV has had no issues but all my other games still CTD.I realy do like the gfx card just wish it would work rite.

Fixed the issue by removeing the 6670 and putting a EVGA 550ti in its place ($40 more).I seen that the 6670 had a 800mhz core clock,that with 480 shaders and one gig of memory even thoe its ddr3 all for under a hundred buck's but I still had higher expectations.So...thx I guess for all the help....I guess.:)
