Problem with video quality after formatting

I just upgraded my laptop from Windows 7 basic to Ultimate after doing so my videos were pixelated and blurry at times. I already installed the intel hd graphic drivers. I don't know what the problem is. Somebody help me.

Please download and run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor, which will flag up any hardware issues.

Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor

However, it's more than likely that your integrated graphics may not be man enough for Aero.

In that case, you still need to run the Windows Upgrade Advisor to see whether you need to update your graphics card for video playback.

it depends on the quality of the video file, video format and the video codec you are using . Assuming the quality is ok, you may try a codec package that is highly good for any type of video codecs ... that is Shark007's FREE Codec solutions - Windows 7 codecs .

Otherwise, you may try a different player , http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

That's really strange !! I was habituated with such a scenario earlier when I was using an Asus motherboard with 2 GBs of RAM .... But when I upgraded to Intel with 4 GBs of RAM, I have never seen it . Even it was never occurred with VLC , coz it is not such a resource hungry application .

Whatever it may be, Can you check one thing ? Go to Explorer > System properties (the second button in the explorer bar, at the right side of the Organize button) and see what is the quantity of your installed memory ?
